Nintendo characters, oh my!

The spanish (is it?) godzilla monster was funny as hell, as well as the weird Kool-Aide dude created from the double cherry thingie. Those literally made me lol for at least 5 seconds, and this coming from a rather stoical ass =P Luved how many nintendo characters were incorporated into your three flash movies, it brought back memories of the good ol' days.

I'm sure you can see where things need the "perfection touch", but one thing that seriously needs toning is the quality of the voices. I really don't like hearing lots of static. There seemed to be some awkward motion or "moves" in the big fight scene with Dr. Oblivion and the dude that fired him. Be sure not to make such mistakes when going for a serious fighting animation.

On a side note, Perfect Dark would be THE BEST FRIGGIN' 1ST-PERSON SHOOTER GAME EVER IF IT WASN'T FOR THE LAGGING ISSUES!!! I dare anyone to find another single game that boasts an even larger arsenal of weapons than PD =D

Cell Phone eXtreme!!

This flash is fairly flawless in its own accord, but frame by frame animation certainly goes its own way. I dunno if you understood that or not...

I suspect that the cell phone bashing is somewhat cliche, but to be honest, this is the first time I've seen such a flash product bringing "satanic cell phones" to the spotlight.

Nice voice acting, THE best I've heard! By having said that, I meant that you tried for an accent, speaking with a cell phone in your mouth, dynamic contrast in tone and volume (like music I suppose), and you passed these tricky elements with flying colors!

Something you can work on is the proportions of the ceiling compared to the back of the classroom (which is so drab as to be an eyesore, it might just be me however). Maybe there should be more clarity in the artwork behind the teacher, after all, the guy with 3 cell phones said it was an art class.

A 10 in sound!! Congratz!!

....!!!!!!!....holy....*runs off to tell friends*

Words are at a loss trying to describe your works; it's like trying to get every single positive detail out of each second you experience in real life! (slight exaggeration) It made me chuckle when the naughty little satyr-thing, or the reoccuring character from the other two front-page features (Bitey of Brackenwood, Prowlies at the River) for the more general-minded, was pwned by the little foot at the end =P

I hate to rain on such a perfect flash, but what I do in these reviews is voice what I think needs work *cries*. There are two things that disrupted the otherwise pristine goodness of this flash movie. The first one was darn painful, and it was the movie controls that show up in different sizes for about 7 seconds or so before the strange flying plant creature scene. It looked nice and it works as far as I've tested it (play and pause, didnt' try the others), but it was probably not beneficial to the overall quality if you planned to have it throughout the movie. The other thing is pretty subtle, and it was the "pinwheel" motion of the night sky coming in. That didn't seem to hold much verisimilitude anyways.

Maybe the movie toolbar mistake will get fixed if you bother resubmitting it, then I'll praise you as my idol of supreme perfection, despite the other "flaw".

A 10 in graphics and style!!! Congratz!!!

chluaid responds:

oh yeah.. the controller is very temperamental and I'm thinking of removing it altogether. It's supposed to be invisible until you press the spacebar, then it disappears when you press the spacebar again. It's pretty much flawless until littleFoot appears, and after that it just goes stupid. If I can't get it working eventually, I'll update the movie with a new controller.

As for the sky, I don't even know what 'verisimilitude' means, so I'll go look it up, then work on the scene if necessary :P

Thanks for the review!

Can't wait for the last two!!

Even though the graphics look like "paint" product, I've liked the storyline and the fight scenes, the multitude of characters, and all the other good things that can be said about your series! I wonder if Dimir gets his ass pwned in the end...

I didn't like the "whiteout" effect when the soccer guy was defeated.

Luv the new title screen picture!

Looking foward to it!

I've never ever seen such a set of sprites and backgrounds (those related to mario and such) so you get extra points in graphics =P

Luv naruto!

Storyline was set up immediately, which is fine in my opinion. Mixing up Sonic, Zelda, and the Mario series makes a rather odd combination, but you've got my attention.

I got pretty tired of "listening" to elder toad talking all the time, even though Vaati's voice was more annoying. I'm not sure how you're going to improve on your style in this manner.

Longest... credits... *gasp* ...ever... Chocked full of goodness, but maybe they really shouldn't take 5 minutes to run through, and that is much longer than a TV show's credits. Make it shorter.

The presentation was great overall. Looking foward to it! This flash reminds me of Kingdom Hearts btw

Nicely done!

I was like "wtf!" when a guy fell down and splatted into a pile of blood just to produce a sound.

My only complaint is how short the flash was. Few things to touch upon is to make the huge bass drum more distinct (might be because i don't have a subwoofer or something) cause I could hardly hear it. Also, the song could use a little bit of tinkering, it wasn't completely safisfying.

Smooth animation, a more challenging vista to music composition, and the display were all goodness. Reminded me of a music made entirely out of computer sounds and of Dr. Seuss!

Very nice

I didn't understand too well the music notes part, or why she got pissed off in front of the computer. Oh, and I noticed a scene where she's reading the second love letter with the words written REALLY lightly in the background. I could not read those without pausing and straining my eyes.

Loved the song!!

Starcraft freak = me!

I'll have to say that it's a decent effort on recreating the mission your own way, and without my eXtreme criticism as a starcraft player, your sounds weren't use so well, and the music needs work as well as some of the designs of the zerg. Excellent drawings of the humans though.

Now for the super-happy-fun bashing!!
Overlords don't have the ability to drop off units in that mission, the design on that particular creature was wrong. Ditto on the zerglings. Hydralisks fire spines, and you seem to have forgotten what they do when they start attacking. Many would not have understood the comsat thing near the beginning of this flash, but I guess it's just a fan sort of thing. Those are my two cents worth.

Eh? What you want?
