    Entertaining

The difficulty scales nicely, although it might be a little too hard for the softer people at the end. Sometimes however I feel that the small little things such as using trees as walls wasn't so obvious (because you can go through them, what's stopping the developers?) and may need explaining. As well, there's a glitch that caused me to disappear and I lost the game obviously >_> (I believe a developer landed right on top of me o.O)

    Awesome!

The additional options you've smacked into this MMM is pretty incredible.

I don't feel the motivation to write a full review, but I will point out one thing that seriously needs work: Enemy spawn positions. Rarely, I would hear a bunch of collisions just when the scenario starts, and on wave 28 (where you first find the "velocity damping" enemies) there was a series of nukes, shockwaves and whatnot for about 30 seconds until one of those special tanks came rocketing out at a billion mph and pwning me. It was hilarious, but really stupid way to die.

Oh yeah, changing the black shot from random into a mobile magnet was pretty awesome xD

    Nice game!

The graphics and sounds were top notch, and this particular defense game touches on something more original than most other defense games.

There's one incredible error though. Sometimes when you click on aliens or turrets the game thinks you're wasting all your money. The Gold reserves suddenly drop to 0 (or in computer terms NaN: Not a Number). Sometimes this seriously screws the player over, so I suggest fixing this as fast as you can.

    A real stresser!

This quiz, even though it has tons of twists on words and crap like that, it really pisses people off! Especially if there's going to be bugs in there such as #99. At some point, I would keep dying for no reason and it wouldn't stop fking up until I restarted the computer. Other than that, this game seems to be just one large complex button maze.

Since #110 requires the use of all seven skips, I'll list answers in the event that people can't be arsed about trying over and over again.

Just like any other economics game

I have played many versions of something quite like this, such as Age of Castles. However, unlike all those other economics games, this was probably more straight-foward than those other ones.

What I would have liked to see was a positive random event instead of "You lose dots", "Your dots become unhappy", etc. Also, there's an oversight in your programming. When I had 2000 soldiers and I decided to get rid of 1000, the entire army on the village screen disappeared!

All in all, it's decent and playable.

    AAAHH! EVIL CLONES!!

I guess I'm not easily disoriented. Sorry, but the game was very easy for me cause I did it in like 4 minutes first run.

Except for those evil shining clones o_O Blocking up the alleyway was very very evil =(

    A 10 in style!! Congratz!!!

    Needs work

    LMAO Crotch Shot!!!

You mentioned that there were 7 different shot areas, but I've only found 5 so far. Also, the combo system may be a little messed up since I've only managed to do a 2-hit combo off of a guy on his head, but all the other times I try end up in spammed bullets (and reduced accuracy). Also, you could have made it somewhat more realistic than civilians hanging from ceilings and odd places, and I disapprove of green spheres for hands.

Oh yes, did I forget to mention that the boss occasionally attacks me with the machine gun while launching missiles? I find it rather incomprehendable that he's able to fire both weapons simultaneously (and it was rather unfair too).

This game is quite decent in its own aspects, but it really isn't a shooter that I would recommend since it sorta takes on a cheesey arcade feel at hard mode.

    Great Game!!

Man, the skull at the end was freakin' crazy... and freaky. Makes me wonder what the people of Earth are thinking...

I've seen the controls setup where the gun is independent of movement, but nevertheless it's put to good use in this game. Unfortunately, it's largely due to the fact that the enemy moves in somewhat random patterns. I'm not sure if this is classic arcade element coming into play or anything, but it sure pissed the hell out of me everytime I was forced to crash. Oh well.

Weaponry got a little hectic at the end, especially when the slice laser and the rapid lasers were exchanged frequently. Also, what seemed like an inconsistency is how weapons can achieve firing speed greater than that of power ups when you're trying to destroy an enemy at point-blank range. Great for pwnage, but otherwise it just doesn't seem appropriate.

Is there really a purpose to the gems? They seem to be bonus-only elements and occasionally can be found during a brief stage.

Even if there was an original game whose qualities you are trying to mimic, I felt that there could be some better work done at the "sound-like" music you can hear in the beginning. Great retro music nearing Saturn and Mars otherwise.

Overall however, it's a great and challenging game. Finished in 2280 seconds (37 minutes), and good quality time too!

Thanks for the in depth review. Yes, the space gems are very useful if your bro gets killed earlier in the game. in Level 3, there is a window of opportunity towards the end where you can buy your bro's life back, and a new ship to boot. The Reanimator will swing by and if you have enough gems, your bro will be back. So, no one should give up if one of them gets killed earlier on in the game.

A game with an original concept!

I've not seen such a game like this that can vary well in difficulty with such a crazy set of rules!! Btw, your Old West challenge level (May 18) is probably one of the most difficult ones (I was the only one on there at the time.)

Unfortunately, this game is with its own flaws of its own. Just like how there's a preview of incoming crops, there should be a preview of incoming enemies, and if you think that's pretty useless, so is the crop meter because it's fairly random. Also, the area lasso that you see when you "box" monsters and crops could use more design and "attitude" to it instead of being a plain ol' boring shading. You probably could have better explained other concepts in the game such as the magnitude of plop spreadage when you create new plops.

While lack of control degrades this game, your talents as a game creator excel very well!

    ReduxGames responds:

Thanks alot for the indepth reviews, you see, this is a completely new concept, so its realy hard to pin everything down at once, but comments like yours will realy help me make it better next time around, as in a few days :) i want to take a vacation and then back to implimenting the constructive comments, and to those who left things like #$#& u, on the board... you know same goes for you.

    One problem...

I think it's very stupid that if your ball goes off the playing field, you have to try again or go to the menu. Sort of destroys the purpose of having lives if you're good enough when you come to worry about going out of bounds more than crashing into walls or whatever.

Oh, and I've found more lives than power-ups -_-

    Eh? What you want?
